Bronze Irish Fountain
A Bronze cast of late 18th century early 19thcentury iron fountain of two main tiers set in the circular pond,
The pond is edged with stylized leaf meander and supported on six step moulded plinths each with a winged gryphon crouched at the rim;
The lower tier is supported on an elaborate pedestal with four finned dolphins with bullrush motifs between each dolphin.
The pedestal base has lily leaf meander above moulded plinth decorated with leaf swags looped through the horns of six aegricanes.
This water feature is surmounted by the circular bowl with acanthus relief moulding underneath, the rim has stylized leaf meander, inner bowl with a scoop fluting & floral frieze.
